エルビス･コステロの"solo"コンサートを観てきた。
ぶっ飛びました！
大道ミュージシャンと同じように、
ギターとアンプとマイクだけなのに、
ソウルフルな歌声と
ロックンロールなギターに圧倒された。
１人だけで
ライブハウス感覚で演奏するためか、
オーチャードホール1階の
4分の3くらいまでしか客を入れず、
2、3階も無人。
僕らの席は
1階ど真ん中の6列目17・18番だったので、
立ち上がると目が合う距離だった。
コステロは、
マイク無しで歌ったり、
曲の合間にも見得を切って聴衆を盛り上げて、
最後は総立ち。
歌とギターの凄腕ぶりに感服しました。
１人で演っているとは
とうてい信じられない音の幅の広さだった。
